24th August 2009 Windsurfing: Felixstowe-Dip Wind Direction: ESE Wind Stength: light Surf / Sea State: lumpy Air Temperature: 24 Sea Temperature: 18 Weather: scorchio Max Speed: Distance Covered: Got down early for the "strong" morning wind. had a couple of runs with 6m, then tried 7m and had a long swim in. What wind??? Squiz cruised off with 8.5m so took big gear out. Was just about planing though sea was quite a mess. As it smoothed out nice for a while then wind dropped so not quite enough to get going. Oh dear. Had some long runs across the bay, and long chats ont eh beach with all the others who turned up but lacking the big geat enjoyed the seaside sunshine without getting wet. might have been 3* but the long treck back (and thanks to Mark for helping, and to those who saved me when dumpers threatened to bury me in the shoredump lull) it is 2*. |
